Together on Tuesdays  17.11.20

We remember now, more than ever, that we are part of a community – of families and friends, of neighbours near and far.

Christmas is a time when we give gifts not only to family and friends but to others in our community and beyond.

We are pleased to say that we can continue to do that this Christmas and here are the details of two ways we can extend a little of the hope and love of Christmas to others.

Christmas Toy Appeal – as in previous years we are collecting toys for children in our community to be distributed via the Social Work Department. Joe has said that as some of the other support they usually receive , won’t be possible this year, and so  gifts from Westburn Parish Church would be really appreciated. Please put your gift in a gift bag rather than wrapping it in paper. Gifts suitable  for babies right through to teenagers are needed.

Jolly Boxes, Compassionate Inverclyde – this year Compassionate Inverclyde are hoping to give a small gift, a ‘Jolly Box’ to all those in nursing homes , those in hospital on Christmas Eve and those alone in our community. Small items to fit in boxes  include – Christmas tree decoration, chocolate, Christmas hankies, handmade Christmas card and small toiletries.

We will have a collection point for gifts on Thursday 3rd December from 11a.m. – 1p.m. and on Sunday 6th December before and after worship.

Thanks for your kindness.
