Tuesday 31 March

Together on Tuesdays 30.3.20

We remember now ,more than ever, that we are part of a community – of families and friends, of neighbours near and far.

We think about how we can support and encourage each other in our community. Out on my daily exercise, usually with my dog Albie, I have been encouraged to see more and more rainbows appearing in people’s windows. Today I made mine to hang up in my window…. Perhaps you can do the same. Originally an idea for children to have something to spot/count as they were walking along the streets,  the rainbows have taken on even more significance as a way of showing support for all frontline staff.

I am sure that many of us personally know people who are working in these situations. Today take a moment to pray for them by name and for all working in caring for and serving others.

These words may help to bring your prayers to a close

God of love and hope and promise, encircle those for whom we pray with peace and compassion and strength.

God of love and hope and promise, encircle us who pray with peace and compassion and strength.

Amen

Thank you

Karen
