Paint the story of Holy Week

Paint the story of Holy Week

When Jesus entered the city of Jerusalem on Palm Sunday, his disciples praised God in loud voices. Some of the Pharisees in the crowd asked Jesus to tell the disciples to stop shouting and cheering. Jesus said ‘ I tell you that if they keep quiet, the stones themselves will start shouting’ ( Luke 19:40)

Let’s tell the story of Holy Week using stones. Paint a simple symbol of one of the stories on a stone and leave it on the wall at the church or somewhere in the community for folk to find. On your stone you could paint e.g. a palm leaf, a cross, an Easter egg, the word ‘Hosanna’ or the word’ Alleluia’  You can use poster or acrylic paint or even marker pens. Once the paint has dried you can paint a layer of clear nail varnish over the picture to seal it.

Take a photo of your stone and post it on social media.
