Messy Monday  9.11.20

Hello  Messy  Monday Friends

Here is a little video to help us think about what Remembrance Day is about

And here is a Poppy print craft

You will need: white paper or green paper, red paint, black paint trays for paint, paintbrushes,  small potato cut in half.

Put the red paint into trays and cut the small potatoes in half. Give the children a piece of paper and show them how to make a poppy shape by dipping the cut edge of the potato into the red paint, or painting on the red paint, and then pressing it onto the paper. You will need to print twice overlapping slightly each print to make an effective poppy and make sure there is enough red paint on the cut edge as this gives a better print. Now let the children print several poppies onto their paper. Now paint a black dot  to make the flower centre.

Take care and stay safe

From Karen and all the Messy Church Team

And at the end of today remember to say the blessing we use at Messy Church

From the top of our heads, to our shoulders, to our knees, to our toes

May the love of God be with us wherever we are. Amen
