Messy Monday  22.6.20

Hello  Messy  Monday Friends

A lady I know lives in high flats and has three budgies – she loves to hear the budgies sing and chatter and they keep her company. Budgies come in lovely bright colours – blue, yellow, green and white.  Can you think of other birds which are brightly coloured ?  Most birds we see in our gardens or  from the window or in the park or by the river don’t have such bright feathers, though many do have lovely colours. How good are you at spotting birds ? Can you tell which birds are close by from the different songs they sing ?

Jesus told his followers that God loved and valued each tiny little sparrow and that God loved each one of them even more ( Matthew chapter 10 verses 29 – 31 ). Jesus says the same thing to us today.

You could make a pompom sparrow with ‘ doughnut shaped ‘ card and some scraps of wool and felt or you could make a simple birdfeeder using hoop shaped cereal and some string or pipecleaners.

Take care and stay safe

From Karen and all the Messy Church Team

And at the end of today remember to say the blessing we use at Messy Church

From the top of our heads, to our shoulders, to our knees, to our toes

May the love of God be with us wherever we are. Amen
