The Word became flesh and lived among us – CHRIST CHILD
Light the centre candle on your Advent ring
Light a candle bright and
tall
For the Christ we greet today.
Christ has come, our all in all.
With the angels, let us say:
Shine within our hearts today
Come, O Christ, to us, we pray.
The Word became flesh
Idea became reality
Thought became thing
Promise was fulfilled
Unseen was seen
Unreachable embraced us
Unimaginably distant sat down beside us
Highest became lowest
Richest became poorest
Divine became human
God became one of us
